Current Projects
In communities throughout Pennsylvania, from college campuses to cities and small towns, SEF is impacting the environment through its investments that promote the use of renewable and clean energy technologies, energy efficiency and conservation, and energy education. Some of our current projects include:
- Financing: SEF offers customized financing strategies and sound energy solutions for businesses, manufacturing facilities, municipalities, schools, farms, and other organizations.
- Small Business Lighting Retrofit Rebates: Rebate offer for qualifying businesses that want to upgrade their lighting systems.
- Solar Scholars™: A college-level, solar energy educational program that is teaching tomorrow’s energy leaders while helping campuses develop energy-saving technology.
- LED Municipality Finance Program: SEF is assisting municipalities in the conversion of traffic and pedestrian signals to LED modules that yield up to a 90% reduction in energy use.
- Biomass Solutions: Through financing of anaerobic digesters, SEF is converting agricultural waste into renewable energy (Wanner Farm).
- CFL Energy Education: SEF promotes energy efficiency through teacher training events and CFL fundraising program.
SEF also invests in renewable energy technologies for businesses, municipalities, and organizations, including solar PV systems, wind energy, geothermal ground source heat pumps, novel and high-efficiency HVAC products and technology.
